Ennsvalley was incorporated in early 1996 and opened its doors in the Karen Shopping Centre on 16th of June 1996. The tiny Bread shop was an instant success and customers traveled all the way from Muthaiga and Runda to get the Famous "Eight Grain Loaf" or "Cheese Sticks".
The high quality of the products and the flair of the shop made the company to expand. All the products were designed for this specific market by Klaus Schneider, a pastry chef and baker who learned his skills at Café Walcher in Schladming, a winter sport centre in the Austrian Alps.
After the army service he worked in restaurants, bakeries and the Airport Catering in Vienna. In 1989 he moved on to work around the world on top-cruise ships & five star Hotels. His last assignment was as an executive pastry chef at the Regency Hotel, where he made the "Viennese Terrasse" a famous breakfast and tea-time meeting place.
In the month of October 2000, Ennsvalley Bakery joint forces with the Nairobi Airport Services and now offers a large variety of rolls and pastries to the many airlines catered by NAS. The joint venture made it possible for Ennsvalley Bakery to expand the operations and now sell fresh baked products to 30 retails in Nairobi, Mombassa, Naivasha and Eldoret.
